Spring 2017 Group Rides

Spring 2017 Group Rides

As of mid-march, there are two regular group rides that we’d like to share with you.  These rides are not officially sponsored by the Cyclery, but many of the participants are our friends and customers.  We wanted to share the opportunity to meet the local community by passing along the information.

Women’s Wednesdays Rides:  Meet Leia Tyrell at 5:45 at the Cyclery for a road ride around Corvallis.  Leia is a multi-talented athlete and coach who has a lot of knowledge to share.  This is a no-drop ride.

Weekender XC:  Meet members of Corvallis Cyclery Racing at Coffee Culture (on Kings) at 8:30 for a 3-3.5 hour Cross Country Mountain Bike ride.  Ride regroups at the tops of climbs and at trail intersections.  Routes are determined day of the ride.  You can expect a lot of climbing since the rides take you into in the McDonald-Dunn Forest.  Make sure to bring food

Mountain bike magazine editors and users alike have all been raving about the Fuel EX, which is made by Trek.  We are personally also really excited about this uniquely versatile mountain bike, and are proud to have a fleet of Fuel EX 7’s built up in the shop for you to come and check out.

The stunning matte-red paint job will turn heads as you fly through the Mac Forest.  The Rockshox Revelation front suspension and Fox Performance Evol rear suspension is responsive and playful.  This bike is at home in any type of mountain bike riding that you may be into:  you can take it Alsea Falls and enjoy the flow, or take it up to Black Rock and get some air.  The Shimano drivetrain and brakes inspire confidence and precision shifting.

If you’re wondering more about the bike, come on into the shop and we’d be glad to answer any questions for you!

Welcome to the Corvallis Cyclery Blog

Hello and thanks for stopping by!

Corvallis Cyclery has served the heart of the Willamette Valley’s bicycle-related needs since 1974.  We pride ourselves and our staff as being a friendly place where you can feel welcome, whether it is your first time going to a bike shop or if you’re a professional racer.

We are starting our shop  blog  in February, 2017.   We’ll be covering topics ranging from the shop history to the adventures of the race team that we sponsor.  You’ll get to know the individuals that make up the shop staff and learn a bit about our interests and our favorite products.  You’ll also learn about special events, sales, and other highlights!

If you have any questions or if you’re curious about a new bicycle, please don’t hesitate to stop in the shop.  We’re always up to help you figure out any bicycle-related question.
